Whitney Day, Principle, Mercer

Mercer will be presenting on a variety of topics such as the ever changing legislative leave landscape, the impact on time away programs, and employer response/best practices.  The participants will walk away with a better understanding of how to evaluate their own programs for compliance and the best way to adapt their programs as needed.

Whitney Day is a Principal with the Mercer Life, Absence, & Disability Practice with 18 years’ experience in group insurance.

She has consulted with small & large size employers in industries to include manufacturing, retail, healthcare, transportation, banking & government on plan design, operational assessments, disability & life claim audits, parental and family leave, compliance, return to work, and time-off & disability program strategies.

Prior to Whitney’s consulting experience, she spent eight years at a leading insurance carrier where she worked in account management, leadership development, and leave and disability claims operation management.  She was successful in the challenge to build and launch the center of excellence for Total Absence Management and implementing a major retailer’s (+200,000 employees) STD and Leave plans including over 100 union plans.

Whitney earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Carthage College in Wisconsin.  She is also a member of the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI).

See you there!
