Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy is important to Central Texas Compensation and Benefits Association (CTCBA). To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining CTCBA’s online information practices and the choices you can make about the way we use and collect your information.  To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on every page and at every point where your personally information may be requested.

Unsolicited email and phone communications other than as necessary for CTCBA, and emails and phone calls related to marketing communications of any kind (including within otherwise permitted communications) are prohibited.

The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on CTCBA’s website, including member profiles, event information and contact information. The types of personal information collected at these pages include name, local and email address, phone number, job and professional titles, certifications and awards, and social media pages.  Some of this information is disclosed to other members, but you can edit your profile so that some information is not available, even to other members.

On some pages, you can submit information about other people.  For example, if you pay the luncheon fee for a group of co-workers, you will need to submit the recipients' names.  In this circumstance, the types of personal information collected are solely the names of the attendees.

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself (and that you provide about others) when adding or renewing CTCBA members or registering individuals for events in order to account for membership dues, check membership and/or meal plan status, and to reserve food and space for luncheons or other events. We do not share this information with outside parties.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive and to alert members of upcoming events, announcements, CTCBA internal marketing, newsletters and feedback surveys. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties other than WorldatWork. Because CTCBA is a global partner network (GPN) liaison, email addresses are shared with WorldatWork (
www.worldatwork.org).  You should check with WorldatWork to review their privacy policies. CTCBA may occasionally send announcements on behalf of other appropriate, legitimate third parties to member email addresses, but CTCBA does not supply the email address to those parties. We reserve the right to use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website.

Finally, we never use or share the personal information you provide to us on line in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.  CTCBA does maintain several “Member Only” pages on our website where we list individual members, their employer, their job title, and their email address (on one or more pages).  If you do not want your membership status, job title, and email address listed on those “Member Only” pages you can opt-out from those listings.  CTCBA does reserve the right to list your employer within the “Members Only” pages to fully disclose to our membership the range of employers included in our membership (without listing any related, opted-out names, job titles, and email addresses).

Our Commitment to Data Security

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.  Although, as you know, few if any electronic systems are impervious to hacking, malware, etc..

How You Can Access or Correct Your Information

You can access all your personally information that we collect and maintain by updating your information online or by contacting the CTCBA Administrative Manager. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.  For your safety and the safety of your personal information, you should take time to manage your personal information on all websites and to check your online information periodically.  We request that you notify the CTCBA Administrative Manager immediately if you find any improper information in your personal information on the CTCBA website or if you see any other information on the CTCBA website that you view as inappropriate for our organization.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify each member’s identity before granting access or making corrections.

Refund Policy

Membership dues are not refundable.  Educational luncheon program fees and local workshop fees are refundable if cancellation is made in writing on or before the RSVP deadline of the event.  Cancellations after the RSVP deadline will not be refunded. Registrants may send a substitute in their place at all times with no penalty.
