With over 25 years’ experience that includes global people strategy and leadership roles in learning & development, sales, career coaching and executive recruitment, Susan Schmitz helps organizations and individuals Connect, Be Bold and Celebrate. As the Global People Strategist for Dell Infrastructure Delivery Services, a 1400-person business unit of Dell EMC, Susan leads initiatives to drive positive outcomes for team members and customers in over 80 countries. Passionate about driving results via engaged, empowered, diverse and inclusive teams, Susan travels extensively and integrates design, business and cultural competencies to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Susan loves the possibilities for growth and learning that technology and a global mindset enable. She believes connection, learning agility and a growth-mindset are keys to successful change management.  Susan will discuss how to:

  • Identify the key factors leading to a high-performing and inclusive culture
  • Recognize the BEHAVIORS that align with those factors
  • Review two communication concepts/skills to build rapport and enhance CONNECTION
  • Underscore the value of a growth-mindset (the power of  “YET”) in developing BOLD behavior
  • Learn how to drive “discretionary effort” via a culture of safety, inclusion and belonging

She is not afraid of ‘difficult conversations’, believing “we can’t fix, what we can’t talk about.”
